One great Brazilian celebration with singers, bands and traditional instruments.

The Roda de Samba has become a tradition on our stage, a musical gathering where everyone is invited to join in the singing, dancing and playing. The host is guitarist Nelson Latif, who invites musicians from different parts of Brazil.
Opening act is the acoustic Trio Baru, featuring Nelson Latif on cavaquinho, the four-stringed instrument that is so characteristic of Brazilian music. Special guest is singer Marcelo Café, an outstanding talent from the samba scene.
The highlight of this evening is the performance of Brazilian Samba Machine ft. Rosana Brown. This eight-piece formation is fronted by the Rio de Janeiro-born singer Rosana Brown, who infuses samba with jazz, soul, R&B and bossa nova. With her fresh approach to samba, she never loses sight of the tradition.
The afterparty features the Edvaldo Santana Trio, led by a veteran of Brazilian music, a troubadour who moves seamlessly through blues, samba, and rap. Singer and guitarist Edvaldo Santana was born in São Paulo as the son of immigrants. He came up in the 1970s and collaborated with the likes of Tom Zé, Itamar Assumpção and Paulo Leminski. Now he will come to The Netherlands for the first time.
